Pearly Gates - 1959 Gibson Les Paul This is the one! Pearly Gates has been used by Billy Gibbons to get that famous ZZ Top tone for over 40 years.

| This guitar has been played for over 50 years and has been the cornerstone of Gibbons' sound for as long as he has had her. He obviously no longer tours with the guitar but uses his Billy Bo or Les Pauls that have similar tone, but none compare to the tone of Pearly Gates. The guitar pickup maker Seymour Duncan also studied and have replicated the pickups in Pearly Gates - and are available as Pearly Gate Pickups. |
